Wolf Cub Promise:
I promise to do my best
To love and serve God, to do my duty to the Queen;
To keep the law of the Wolf Cub pack,
And to do a good turn for somebody every day
Wolf Cub Law:
The Cub respects the Old Wolf,
The Cub respects them Selfs.
Wolf Cub Motto:
Do Your Best
Our camp at Attawanadoron was a great success, with the youth rescuing the village of Mafeking by following trail markings and compass headings, building a bridge, using there cunning against the other Cubs, and participating in a King Louie dinner to throw off the enemy. It was also a learning lesson for the leaders as we prepare for our next two camps.
I would like to thank Kevin Reeves for his efforts this year with the group. This year Kevin has brought a great deal to the group, and his work at camp was greatly appreciated. And his flaming fire start was quite impressive. In addition to Kevin, Jamie Adam, our SIT, has been a great asset to the group. We look forward to him continuing his involvement with the Pack for a long time.
THE HOWLER
This year the 66th Cub Pack will be working on:
Creative Expression - Tawny Star Activities
The Creative Expression activity area is to encourage youth to creatively explore and express themselves through activities applying imagination and innovation. Activities are intended to provide creative outlets for children's interests through the use of music, arts, and crafts, increase awareness of how modern technology can be used for creative expression, and promote literacy and reading skills. Youth can also develop a sense of accomplishment by pursuing a project from start to finish
Canada and the World - Purple Star Activities
The activities in this area explore themes of national and international relevance. Additional activities (Specialty Badges) encourage youth to set special challenges for themselves as individuals and as a group.
Points will be awarded for the following items:
Uniform presentation. (1) point awarded for wearing each item of their complete uniform.
Dues: (2) points awarded for each week that dues were paid
Badges (1) point per badge earned
Stars: (2) points for each star
Awards: (5) points for each award earned
RAOK (random acts of kindness: varied depending on the act performed. These included such items as helping out a Cub with a project, goodwill to other people, or as happened at our March camp, administering first aid to an injured Cub.
The point system worked well to motivate the youth last year, and my thanks to all the leaders that helped keep track.
2008 - 2009 Year at the City Kub Kar Races two of our 66th members came home with some gold.
