In June of 2009 the 66th Cub Pack visited Pelee Island for their year end trip. Many had never been on a ferry before and enjoyed the trip over to the island. Once arriving on the island the Cubs proceeded to ride their bikes to the camp ground enjoying the view along the way. It was a nice 40 minute ride. Upon their arrival they were assigned tent mates and proceeded to unpack their gear and set up their own tents. For some this was also a brand new experience. But we as leaders were quite impressed of how well they worked together and had their tents set up quickly. Once camp was set up they enjoyed time at the beautiful beaches of Pelee Island, even the cold lake. Also on this weekend trip they enjoyed more biking on the trails, fishing at the peer, skits and songs by the campfire, cooking, hiking, games, crafts star gazing and most of all water bombing their leaders.
Fun was had by all, and the memories will last a lifetime.
